Megamind in winter clothing - Step By Step by eleathyra Megamind in winter clothing - Step By Step by eleathyra
For creating the perspective grid I used a tool called "Griddle". This can save lots of time!
You can find the tool here: [link]

The final picture is located here:

I'm using GIMP and a wacom tablet.

I just love your Megs pictures <3 and someday I hope to accumulate that much...practice. Might not be patient enough though XD
However, thank you for inspiring me to continue practicing! Your tutorials really break it down so that you can see, 'oh, they don't just wave their hand and POOF a beautiful picture appears'  -  it makes it look more like an achievable goal, not something you just know how to do by instinct.

Thank you! It is mostly about practice, and very much about persistence and patience. There aren't many people that keep practicing long enough to become really good - not because they lack the talent, just because they lack the patience, or, later, when they have a job and a Family, they simply lack the time. But if you really love creating art, I hope you can keep practising and get better and better. :)

No one just sits down and creates fantastic art in 5 minutes.

Great Tutorial! I'm so envious that you can adjust and transform wihout any worries. I have to stick to my outlines once they're done, or everything gets blurry.

What resolution are you working with?

Usually 72p/inch and 2500x2000p while sketching and around 8000x5000p when I do outlines and colours, shades and stuff. I'm sure you use higher resolitions, but my computer would just crash and die if I tried anything higher.

Nope, actually I'm using about the same resolution. :) Perfectly fine I think... never really thought much about it to be honest. Can't really see why I would need an even higher one.

Thanks for commenting! I'm assuming you like my picture, that's great. :D
Although having more practice at drawing doesn't make me superior.
